How is training delivered?
Apprentices and Trainees are supervised in the workplace where they work; they will develop skills in their normal daily activities. The Apprentice/Trainee will also do formal training by participating in one-on-one training with their Work Skills designated Client Manager (Trainer). In the majority of situations this training will be delivered in the workplace for a minimum of two hours per month.
The training plan and delivery times will be decided in consultation with the Employer, the Apprentice/Trainee and the Work Skills Client Manager.
A record book is kept for each of the competencies and is signed off by the training Supervisor and Client Manager, once the Student has demonstrated competency for that unit.
