Image_Employers_01.pngThrough the Department of Education, Training and the Arts the state government aims to work with industry, registered training organisations, community organisations and communities to create more and better jobs, and to continue skilling and upskilling Queensland's workforce.

To achieve this, each year the department makes available funding to eligible organisations and individuals across the state. 

Qld Government User Choice Funding

User Choice is a program funded by both the Commonwealth Government and state governments through which employees may undertake an apprenticeship or traineeship qualification. Employers, apprentices or trainees can negotiate with a registered training organisation of their choice as to when they will attend college, the qualification they would like to undertake, and any other aspect of the training to be delivered.

1. What is Skilling Solutions Queensland?

Skilling Solutions Queensland is an innovative new training and career information service being introduced by the Queensland Government to help you succeed in today's competitive job market. This face-to-face service will provide you with important information on sustainable employment opportunities, career pathways and training options-providing up-to-date information and helping you work out what skills you already have and what skills you need to gain to get the job you want.

2. Are the Skilling Solutions Queensland services for me?

If you are currently working but do not have a qualification, or would like to gain a qualification to start or change your career, Skilling Solutions can help you.

If you are thinking about starting a new career or going back to work, or have been made redundant or been retrenched, Skilling Solutions can also help you by identifying what is the best qualification for you and if you are able to receive some government funding assistance.
