Building on the success of last year’s pastry training class, we have opted to continue hosting classes throughout the year. All classes will be held in our fully stocked commercial kitchen facilities at Murarrie.
Hands-on training classes
These classes are designed primarily to assist apprentices to complete the units that they are having difficulties completing in their workplace, however, all apprentices who are interested are encouraged to attend. The first of which is our Poultry class planned mid-March
As the year progresses we will be holding our meat class in April, seafood class in June, stocks, soups & sauces class in August and desserts class in October.
Students will have the opportunity to get direct feedback from their trainer on the correct cookery practices, get to see the results of their work on the spot, get assessed and will have the ability to network and share their experiences with other apprentices in their field. Their creations on the day will be eligible to be used as evidence for their units of competency.
